I checked the built pages before writing this. Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and two Adsterra units load by default; the consent banner is a notice and a withdrawal switch, not a gate. YouTube is the only player that waits for a click, because it is a video the visitor chooses to start.
Not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. No game files are hosted here.
Default load, one clear switch
Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra ads load on your first visit without waiting for you to press Accept. There is no stored choice on a first visit, and the site treats that as granted. The banner is a notice and a withdrawal switch: Accept keeps the default, Reject turns the analytics, recordings and ads off for 180 days, and Cookie settings in the footer brings the choice back.
An explicit Accept or Reject is stored in your browser under the localStorage key gtavc.consent as a JSON object with choice, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage and an absolute exp timestamp. It stays for 180 days. This site does not submit that choice record as a form; the selected consent signals are communicated to analytics vendors. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track, the site treats it as Reject and creates no vendor script.
Google Consent Mode v2 starts before config with ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied, analytics_storage granted, and ads_data_redaction enabled. These Google signals are separate from the default-on loading of Clarity and Adsterra. Only an explicit Accept grants the Google ad signals. A stored Reject, GPC or Do Not Track denies all four signals and prevents GA4, Clarity and Adsterra requests. Pressing Reject reloads the page to stop code that already ran.
What actually loads
| Party | When | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| This site | Every page | Serve the article, remember the consent choice, and remember a hidden ad bar | You requested the page; consent for the stored choice |
| Google Analytics 4 (G-3ZLS0C67E6) | Every page by default; off after Reject | Aggregate page views, referrers and basic device data | Default-on measurement with an opt-out; this notice does not establish affirmative consent |
| Microsoft Clarity (project z2m1whgdxi) | Every page by default; off after Reject | Heatmaps and masked session recordings used to find broken layouts | Default-on recording with an opt-out; not affirmative consent |
| Adsterra (publisher 3403020, website 6146511) | Every page by default; off after Reject | Native Banner unit 31895721 and Social Bar unit 31895722, which pay for the guide | Default-on advertising with an opt-out; Reject stops both placements |
| YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) | Only after you press play on a video | Play the cited guide video | Your click on that player |
The default requests go to Google (www.googletagmanager.com and www.google-analytics.com), Microsoft (www.clarity.ms, scripts.clarity.ms and regional *.clarity.ms collection hosts), and the Adsterra delivery host bicea.org. Vendor scripts can request their own delivery endpoints; this is not another site-installed integration. Fonts, illustrations and video posters are served locally. Cloudflare serves the production site and its email routing. There is no AdSense, no popunder, no smartlink, no traffic-mesh banner SDK and no social embed that loads by itself.

Advertising, personalization and opt-outs
Adsterra serves the two page-level placements named above: Native Banner 31895721 in the content flow and Social Bar 31895722 as the fixed strip at the bottom. Adult ads are switched off on the Adsterra website, so neither unit is configured for adult creative. This site does not run Popunder, Banner or Smartlink units.
You can turn personalized advertising off, or object to it, with these vendor and industry pages: Adsterra privacy at https://adsterra.com/privacy-policy/, Google Ads settings at https://adssettings.google.com/, the NAI opt-out at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/, and Your Online Choices at https://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Microsoft privacy settings are at https://account.microsoft.com/privacy/. Google's analytics opt-out add-on is at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Reject is the switch that removes the scripts from this site. Browser-level blocking or an extension may also prevent requests. Clearing this site's storage removes the saved Reject, so the next visit returns to default-on loading. The floating Social Bar has its own Hide ad bar button, and the close state is stored so the strip does not come back on reload.
Retention, rights and contact
The choice record stays for 180 days or until you delete gtavc.consent in this site's localStorage. We have not independently verified the account-level GA4 event-retention setting. Vendor retention and cookie lifetimes can vary; consult the linked Google, Microsoft and Adsterra policies. The table lists typical vendor-documented examples, not a cookie scan or a guarantee of exact lifetimes. YouTube data is governed by Google's own retention once you start a video.
You can email [email protected] to ask what this policy means, to object to processing, or to ask us to correct a page. Because the site has no account system, the practical way to erase the on-device record is to delete the localStorage keys above. Contact email is processed by Cloudflare Email Routing and the site operator's mail-hub Worker, and a copy may be mirrored to the operator's Google mailbox for replies. Messages are used to handle the request; we do not claim an audited automatic deletion period.
We do not sell personal data and we do not run a server-side profile. This policy changes by editing this page and its updated date; the contact page uses the same address.

Questions
Do ads and analytics load before I press Accept?
Yes, by default. GA4, Microsoft Clarity and the two Adsterra units start on the first view, and the banner tells you so. Accept keeps that. Reject turns all three off and remembers the choice for 180 days.
How do I withdraw or change my choice?
Press Reject in the banner, or use Cookie settings in the footer and choose Reject. The site stores the decision in localStorage for 180 days. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are treated as Reject.
Do you run personalized ads?
Adsterra serves a Native Banner and a Social Bar. Adult ads are switched off on the Adsterra website. You can opt out of personalized advertising through the industry pages linked below.
Does YouTube load on its own?
No. The player stays a poster until you press play, then the youtube-nocookie.com iframe is created. Google may set its own cookies after that click.
