Saves

Vice City save files

You can back up your own save. You should not download a stranger’s 100% file from a cheat site. Those bundles are a common place for extra executables.

By GTA Vice City Online Editorial Desk · Method and limits

I used PCGamingWiki for the PC folder and the Quenq panel for the browser note. On 24 October 2026 the Quenq page showed a Save Manager button. I did not import a file into it, and this guide will not host one.

What each version stores

No save file is attached to this page
Version	Where it lives	Share it?
Original PC	%USERPROFILE%/Documents/GTA Vice City User Files/GTAVCsf*.b	Copy your own only
Definitive Edition	Different edition; inspect its own save location	Not the same .b set
Browser port	Save Manager inside that site	Export/download claimed by Quenq; not tested here

Back up an original PC slot

Exit the game before copying or replacing a save. In Windows, open your Documents folder, then GTA Vice City User Files; redirected Documents or OneDrive can change its physical location.
Find the GTAVCsf*.b slot files. Copy the whole folder to a dated backup directory outside the live save folder; do not overwrite the only copy.
Restore only with the game closed, preserving another copy of the current folder first. Launch the same game edition and verify the intended slot loads before continuing.
Do not assume retail, Steam, PS2 and Definitive Edition formats are interchangeable. No converter or cross-edition migration was tested here.

Browser import and export are host-specific

Quenq's own FAQ describes Save Manager upload/download for backups. That is a vendor claim, not a successful import test by this guide. If the interface offers an export, save a local backup before clearing site data, changing browser profiles or moving domains. Retain the original file before trying an import; use only your own game data and never run an executable bundled with a save.

What 100% means

The GTA Wiki 100% page lists 100 hidden packages, 35 rampages, and 36 unique stunt jumps among the requirements, plus story and asset missions. A downloaded save that claims those numbers is still someone else’s file. Back up the slot you earned.

Questions

Where are original PC saves?

PCGamingWiki lists them under the Vice City user files in Documents. Look for .b files. Do not assume the Definitive Edition has the same path or format. Cloud-sync support and cross-version compatibility were not verified here.

Can I move a PS2 save to PC?

Not as a simple copy. The formats differ. This page does not describe a converter, because I did not verify one.
