Mac and Chromebook
A modern Mac does not run the 2010 Vice City app. A Chromebook is not a PC install either. Here is what still has a source.

I checked Apple’s 32-bit support note and the 12 November 2010 Take-Two release about the Mac trilogy. The Mac game existed. Catalina (10.15) dropped 32-bit apps, so that build does not launch on current macOS. I did not find a 64-bit Mac Vice City from Rockstar.

What can still run
| Device | Official app | Practical path |
|---|---|---|
| macOS Catalina or later | 2010 app will not open | Browser port or another computer |
| Older macOS, 32-bit era | 2010 trilogy if you still have it | Not sold as a new download here |
| Chromebook with Play Store | Android listing may install | Phone stores |
| Chromebook without Play | No official Android app | Browser |

VC:MP is a Windows client. I would not point a Mac user at it as a first step. If the goal is the story, use a store on a supported device from Get the game.
Browser performance on Apple silicon varies. The 24 October 2026 check was one desktop session, not a MacBook matrix. If the tab stays black, use troubleshooting.
Questions
Did Vice City ever release on Mac?
Yes. Take-Two announced a Mac trilogy with TransGaming on 12 November 2010. It is a 32-bit app.
Can every Chromebook install the Android app?
No. Google’s Chromebook help says Android apps depend on the model. If the Play Store is missing, that device cannot install the official Android listing.
